Speaking about Partner Leadership

At my core, I’m an educator. I come from a long line of teachers so I found it in my DNA. 

I live to serve, partner, and share wisdom I acquired as a former COO of iD Tech. I was the 3rd employee hired onto iD Tech, the world-class leader in STEM education for students in K-12. For 22 years, I scaled every aspect of iD Tech programs. From startup to 190 locations to international expansion to an online education pivot during the pandemic to a $200M acquisition, I led delivery teams in producing high-quality experiences garnering top NPS scores.

Why 22 years at the same company? Therein lies the key.

Because I was given the gift to grow within a startup, I quickly realized the value of having the ownership and trust needed to carve my own path. I had the autonomy to hire, nurture talent, develop programs, and lead my teams. 

That feeling of autonomy was truly amazing. 

I loved my people, saw their value, and wanted to shine the spotlight on them. So I became driven to ensure that everyone at the company experienced that same feeling of joy and motivation needed to thrive. They brought me the most joy every day, year after year, and supporting their growth was inextricably linked to our award-winning culture and the company’s success.

With a focus on growing talent, I trained thousands of employees at every level of the organization from the executive team to the instructors teaching our programs. I call myself a partner leader which means my focus is on building trusting, respectful, collaborative, aligned, and accountable growth cultures, where people are intrinsically motivated and achieve high-level results for the business. 

So, after two decades of executive experience in scaling operations and developing leaders, I founded Leading with Joy. Now that I have the keys, I’m on a mission to help other executives develop leaders that foster high-performing teams and joyful workplace culture.

I live in Los Angeles. I’m a mother to 2 teens - a son and a daughter, I’m the wife of an artist, and I love gaining practical leadership tools that I can use every day. So, hopefully, you do too.
